　　首先，我对刘翔的退赛感到非常遗憾。这不但对中国是个最坏的消息，对于全世界的体育迷而言，这都是件糟糕透顶的事情。其次，北京乃至全中国的热情好客给我留下了极为深刻的印象。从8月1号到现在，你们做了无数出色的工作，我相信这会一直持续到月底奥运会结束。北京奥运简直不可思议，中国人民应该得到赞扬。

　　现在，让我说点和篮球有关的事情，因为我是个狂热的篮球迷，而且我在这行已经工作了18年了。在北京，我每天都呆在篮球馆中，我看了男子和女子迄今为止的所有比赛。关于参赛球队、球员和教练们，有着数不清的观点。记者们最喜欢谈论的就是美国男篮，在他们看来，美国队将肯定会以八连胜的战绩拿到冠军。除了美国队之外，人们还把目光投向了在NBA效力的球员们。全世界都有无数NBA粉丝，中国也不例外。但对于我而言，我更想谈谈中国男女篮的表现。04年我在雅典，两年前我去了琦玉，我非常清楚中国队都发生了哪些变化。

　　以前中国男篮只有一个姚明，但现在，中国不仅仅拥有姚一个人。在无数人特别是尤纳斯的帮助下，中国的移动长城迎来了真正的崛起。虽然巴特尔退出了国家队，但王治郅回来了，姚明和易建联则组成了豪华的锋线。除了他们三人之外，中国队还有很多优秀的球员，例如孙悦、刘炜和陈江华。

　　不管怎么说，中国篮球在奥运会上的表现都称得上出色，我相信篮球在中国会有光明的未来，因为中国还拥有一支出色的女篮。我在希腊国家电视台解说了中国和白俄罗斯的四分之一决赛啊，苗立杰的表现非常完美，她率领中国队轻松获胜。但中国女篮并不只有苗立杰一人，我还看到了另外几名伟大的球员：隋菲菲、陈楠、卞兰、宋晓云、陈晓丽和刘丹。主帅汤姆-马赫干的很不错，中国女篮杀入了四强，这是个完美的成绩，我要向她们所有人表示祝贺。

　　This is Evangelos Ioannou and I ‘m writing for first time in ?Sohu Sports?, after the request of my best friend , Keith Zhang.

　　First of all , I want to say that I am very sorry for LIU. It was the worst news not only for the Chinese , but for everyone is here for the Olympic games.

　　Second , I want to express my best impressions for your hospitality in Beijing all these days from the 1st of August till now and I believe till the end of the month. All of you have made excellent work and you deserve congratulations.

　　The Olympics here are amazing!

　　Now , let me write something about basketball , because I love this game and I am working on it 18 years now… I am in Beijing Basketball Gymnasium every day. I have already watch all the games in Men and in Women tournament.

　　There are a lot of opinions about the teams , the players and the coaches. Most of thw journalist are talking for the USA TEAM , which she will win the gold with 8 victories in a row. Some others are wiriting only for the NBA players , who have many funs all over the world , also in your country.

　　For me , is more interesting to have a conversation about the Chinese Basketball (Men and Women)…

　　Well,

　　I was in Athens (2004) and in Saitama ( Japan) two years ago and I know very well the differences in your national team.

　　Then , it was only Yao Ming. Now , China is not only Yao.With tough work form a lot of people and especially form Jonas Kazlauskas , the ?walking Great Wall? tradition is alive and well. While Menke Bateer retired from the national team , Wang ZhiZhi returned to form an imposing front line with Yao and Yi. There are , also , three more very good players. I mean , Sun Yue – Wei Liu and Jianghua Chen.

　　In any case , China made very good performances in this tournament and I believ that has great future in Basketball, because has an excellent team also in Women.

　　I commendate for Greek National TV the game vs Russia. Lijie MIAO made an amazing performance an lead China to an easy victory. But there is not only MIAO. I watches also some other great players like Feifei SUI , Nan CHEN , Lan BIAN, Xiaoyun SONG , Xiaoli CHEN and Dan LIU.

　　Coach Tom Maher has made good job and Chine qualified to the semi-finals. It is fantastic. I have to congratulate all of them.
