【文成县】The Tenth Year of the Belt and Road Initiative

     On September 7, 2013, president Xi Jinping announced the construction of the "Silk Route Economic Belt" in Kazakhstan. In October of the same year, President Xi visited Indonesia and proposed to build the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road". Since then, the Belt and Road Initiative, a major strategic initiative rooted in history and in line with the trend of the times, has grown into an important platform for building a community of shared future for mankind in twists and turns. It is now in its tenth year.

     The reason why the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative for international cooperation is a feat of great daring is that it sublimates the historical wisdom of Chinese culture, put forward new solutions for the development of the contemporary world, creates a new model of win-win international cooperation, and represents a new step toward a community of shared future for mankind, which is strived by the entire world as the contemporary theoretical form of Marx’s theory of world history.

     Over the past decade, the Belt and Road cooperation has continuously achieved new results and created new opportunities, and its impact has rapidly swept across the world, becoming the most popular international public goods so far, and the platform for international cooperation with the best prospects. In 2016, the total import and export volume between China and countries along the Belt and Road reached 6.3 trillion yuan, while by 2021, the transaction volume reached 11.6 trillion yuan, almost doubling the growth. This great initiative is leading the socialism with Chinese characteristic towards Chinese Dream, the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and guiding the world socialist movement to develop in a more positive and healthy direction.

     The initiative is not only related to the sustainable development of the global economy, but also to the peaceful transformation and reconstruction of the international order and rule system. All the countries that came under this initiative get the facility to make their international relationship stronger through the land and maritime networks, which promote the connection between Asian, African, and European countries and provide more strength in the industrial connection between the countries.

     The initiative is a long-term visionary project for the development of infrastructure, connectivity, and economy, playing a key role in the process of developing economic conditions and also building strong international relationships.

     Our country focus on the diversity factors between all the countries and make an independent, stable and sustainable development with them in a neat, careful and logical way by the Belt and Road Initiative. Evan mountains and seas cannot distance people with common aspirations. The Belt and Road Initiative is not a solo of China, but a chorus of countries along the route. The proposal originated in China, but the opportunities and progress belong to the world.
