     Development is the eternal theme of human society and people are eager to realize their yearning for a better life through development. The United Nations 2030 Agenda for sustainable Development is a programmatic document which aims to solve the problems in social, economic and environmental dimensions,guiding global development cooperation.

     As the largest developing country in the world, China is an active practitioner of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. With the mission of building a community with a shared future and a better world for mankind, China has established its unique position.

     However, the current global economic development is affected by multiple factors. Some countries politicize and marginalize development issues. The phenomenon of super monopoly capital manipulation, extreme political distortion and discrimination against developing countries has not only widened the polarization between the rich and the poor, but also aggravated the imbalance of global development. Besides, climate change and the COVID-19 epidemic have made the realization of the sustainable development goals even more elusive.

     At this historic juncture, China has strengthened its determination to work with all partners to accelerate the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and make greater contributions to jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind.

     By 2020, China has historically eradicated absolute poverty and achieved the poverty reduction goal of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development 10 years ahead of schedule. In the process of "Going Global" and "the Belt and Road", China actively fulfill and practice the global obligations and promote the construction of ESG system, making major contributions to the development of global poverty reduction and human development.

     At the same time, Chinese enterprises participate in corporate social responsibility initiatives related to the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the United Nations Global Compact Initiative, and have established a good image in the world.

     In addition, China has firmly implemented its commitment of "striving to achieve carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060". It has formulated the plan for carbon peak by 2030 and accelerated the construction of the "1 + n" policy system, which focuses on solving the global climate change problem.

     There is no doubt that China is willing to work with other partner to advance the United Nations 2030 agenda for sustainable development.In the face of difficulties and challenges, only by strengthening confidence, working with one heart and one mind and making concerted efforts to promote development can people of all countries lead a better life in a better tomorrow.
