【永嘉县】Chinese youth for Global Sustainable Development gives the answer

     At a time when the sustainable development agenda is marginalized, lacking momentum and stumbling in the face of global crises, China has chosen to give a Chinese answer with Chinese wisdom.

     China has been a responsible supporter and contributor to the 2030 Agenda. In order to advance the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, XiJinping proposed the Global Development Initiative to face the impact of COVID-19 and promote global development to a new stage of more balanced, coordinated and inclusive development. It called for genuine international cooperation in eight areas: poverty reduction, food security, COVID-19 and vaccines, financing for development, climate change and green development, industrialization, digital economy and connectivity in the digital age.

     Even as the world enters a new period of turbulence and change and uncertainty surges, crises often breed opportunities. In any environment, under any conditions can not give up the possibility of moving forward. The priority of the Sustainable Development Agenda is to seek development in the midst of crisis. China's development experience proves that problems in development can only be solved through development. Only through continuous development can the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development goals be achieved.

     Opportunities lie within crises, and the optimism of Chinese youth in facing challenges is key to the realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

     Against this backdrop, the All-China Youth Federation will host the World Forum on Youth Development to bring together the broadest possible force for the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and set up a global platform for exchanges and cooperation to promote youth development and contribute to global development.
