     Recently, President Xi Jinping pointed out that development is the eternal theme of human society, and only when we gather firm confidence, unswervingly fight against the epidemic, promote development with one heart and one mind, can we have the chance to live a better life so as for the human society to usher in a better tomorrow. These words remind us of the importance and necessity of development. Then, how can we implement development and which aspects should we pay attention to? There are some thoughts lying in my heart.

     First and foremost, it’s imperative to build low-carbon cities so as to materialize sustainable development. Green and low-carbon development is a general trend, but also a competition with transformative significance. We must seize the opportunities, boldly welcome the challenges, take a good first step as well as play the initiative. In terms of process, we have only a 30-year transition period. In terms of technology, we should not only focus on the research of technologies, but also do well in the whole chain layout from basic research, key and core technologies’ breakthroughs to comprehensive demonstration. In this case, it’s more feasible to realize the sustainable development of economy and society.

     Moreover, it’s crucial to construct a digital China in order to promote digital development. Nowadays, with the most active innovation and the widest radiating surface, the digital economy is becoming a momentous driver of global economic recovery and growth. It is of great strategic significance for expanding new economic development space, enhancing sustainable economic development, improving the level of social management and service, as well as driving innovation. The construction of digital China is conducive to the formation of a wider range of new industries, new forms, new models of economic development, which also helps to continuously strengthen its new engine.

     Last but not least, it’s vital to take root in people’s happiness so that we can accelerate high-quality development. High-quality development embodies the new concept of development. It’s the development in which innovation becomes the primary driving force, coordination turns into an endogenous feature, green gets a common pattern, openness comes to be the only way, and sharing grows to be the fundamental purpose. At present, the problem of unbalanced and inadequate development is still outstanding, and the innovation ability still cannot meet the requirements of high-quality development. Hence, we should gather together to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas, and enhance people's sense of happiness, gain and security.

     Only when the COVID-19 pandemic is prevented can the economy be stabilized. Only when the economy is stable can the security be maintained. Only when the security is maintainable can people live a better life. Development is both present and ongoing. All of us ought to endeavor in that the development of the world cannot be realized without each of us.
