     There are 1.8 billion young people in the world with great potential and energy. Regarded as the future of the world, the young generation plays a vital role in the future development,representing hope and advancement.

     China always views young generation as an important force in driving social development and encourages them to contribute to building a community with a shared future of mankind. It has always prioritized youth development,formulated and implemented youth development plans and pushed for comprehensive progress.

     As an important platform for young people, the World Youth Development Forum would offer them various opportunities to shape solutions to some pressing global issues and therefore drive the young generation to promote global unity and advancement.

     One of the excellent young people, Eileen Gu said that she competed for China to inspire much young girls to get interested in sports as well as self-progress. Eileen Gu, the freestyle skier who also has 1.6 million followers on Instagram, won three medals at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games in February. She said that many of her female followers send her messages expressing grateful thanks because she inspired them to break their own boundaries and to be a better person. She said that it’s friends moving together to celebrate each other’s success. With the awareness of her personal influence, she devoted herself to some social issues such as gender inequality in sports and cyber bullying. She not only cares for herself-development but also the shared future of mankind. Undoubtedly young people like Eileen Gu are shouldering the responsibilities of making a difference of the world.

     We should pay more attention to young people’s voices, believing in their strength and support them in shouldering the responsibilities of safeguarding world peace and promoting prosperity and development.
