     The Belt and Road Initiative is born with openness and inclusiveness. Upholding the principles of mutual benefit, China has successfully signed more than 200 cooperation documents on the Belt and Road Initiative with over 180 countries and international organizations since 2013. The Belt and Road, which crosses mountains and oceans and connects East with West, is not only dedicated to economic cooperation, but also an important way to improve the global development model and promote world peace. In the first half of this year, China's trade value of goods with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative reached 6.3 trillion yuan, up 17.8% year on year, accounting for 31.9% of the total. During the same period, the actual investment in China by countries along the route reached 45.25 billion yuan, an increase of 10.6%. In the process of participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese enterprises have not only established a good corporate image and brand, but also explored the local market. It has greatly boosted China's international trade and exports. For example, Chinese enterprises have assisted in building bridges, railways, roads and other infrastructure projects in Central Asia and Southeast Asia, which has improved the living conditions of local residents. It raised the international competitiveness and popularity of Chinese enterprises and enhanced China's prestige in countries along the routes.

     The Belt and Road is a bridge of communication between East and West under economic globalization. Thanks to the high-quality infrastructure built in the early stage of the Belt and Road Initiative, the number of China-Europe freight trains has continued to grow against the severe COVID-19 situation. From January to July this year, a total of 8,990 China-Europe freight trains ran, delivering 869,000 TEUs, up 3 percent and 4 percent year-on-year, respectively. With convenient, fast, safe and stable cross-border logistics services, the China-Europe freight trains, which now reach 200 cities in 24 European countries, have made important contributions to unblocking the international industrial and supply chains. The China-Europe freight train serves as a platform for international trade cooperation between China and countries along the Belt and Road, providing job opportunities for people in these countries and driving regional economic development.
