From the deep sea to outer space, China is at the forefront of exploration. On June 23, 2021, Future Fantastic: China's Science Revolution began broadcasting online. The five episodes recorded the stories of 15 Chinese scientists and sci-tech workers, including Li Di, the chief scientist of the “the Eye of Heaven (FAST)” who strives to pursue the mysteries of the universe, Cui Weicheng, the deputy chief designer of the “Jiaolong” deep-sea manned submersible who explores the ocean regardless of life safety, and Ouyang Ziyuan, the chief scientist of the Chinese lunar exploration project. Their work achievements shape not only the future of China, but also the future of all mankind.

Back to 2019, when met with foreign representatives at the “New Economy Forum”, Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, pointed out that innovation should benefit the whole world instead of becoming a buried treasure. This is well proved under the COVID-19 epidemic. Thanks to China's long-term scientific research investment in pathogenic microorganisms and immunology in recent years, the leading level of science and technology has laid a good scientific and technological foundation. Therefore, at the time of the outbreak of COVID-19, China studied the virus thoroughly in less than one week on the basis of existing scientific evidence, and fully understood its sequencing, diagnostic reagents and virus isolation. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, China's sci-tech workers have been fighting on the front line of the epidemic prevention and control and providing support to win the battle. According to the latest data, so far, China's foreign-aid and vaccine exports have already exceeded the sum of other countries.

On September 8, 2020, President Xi Jinping attended the meeting commending role models in China's fight against the COVID-19 epidemic and delivered a speech. He addressed that “China should promote the great spirit of combating the COVID-19 epidemic in the whole society, and transform the spirit into tremendous strength to build a modern socialist country and achieve national rejuvenation.”

A number of scientists emerging in China today are leaders in their respective fields, promoting the continuous development of medicine, food production, robotics, deep-sea research, quantum computing and cosmology. From 2017, May 30 was established as “National Science and Technology Workers’ Day” aiming to encourage scientists and scientific groups to continue devoting in researches and award those who made significant achievement each year. Building a community with a shared future for humanity is a proper method for the mankind to overcome common challenges and build a better world. Working as a builder of global peace, contributor to global development and defender of international order, China is going further towards the win-win situation.
