【鹿城区】“Wow! It’s so beautiful here!”

      “Wow! It’s so beautiful here!” That’s what Liu Boming, a Chinese astronaut said when he went out of the space station cabin on July 4, 2021. It is really one of the milestones in China’s space industry. Besides finishing the tasks step by step perfectly during about seven hours, he even vividly described the amazing view of the space and invited us to fly freely with him. Now let’s look back to September 27, 2008. The brave astronaut Zhai Zhigang, who prepared to sacrifice himself for our motherland, finally opened the cabin door after trying hard many times. With the fire alarm of the cabin, the whole world held the breath nervously until we heard his saying “I’m out of the cabin and feel good” and saw the waving national flag. Although he stayed out of the door for only about ten minutes, it’s really not easy. After comparing, we know that during the past thirteen years, we made such a huge achievement. With the development of the equipment, skill and experiences, now we feel calm enough and show our full confidence to the world.

      Without American’s support in technology, we Chinese still created so big a miracle, which is a big gift for the 100th anniversary of founding of the Community Party of China. Many international media organizations considered it a great pride for China and some countries even felt concerned about China’s strong power. Within less than 100 years, Chinese made tremendous development in aerospace science and technology. First of all, Chinese government attaches great importance to science and technology, therefore it gives enough support both in financial and manpower recourse. Belief in our heart means strength in our legs. After the founding of New China, in order to return to homeland, numbers of scientists gave up high salary and overcame difficulties. They worked heart and soul for the development of China. They also teach and help young people to continue the great work.

      This new era is in need of heroes and will surely give birth to heroes. The students are the future of China. If the young are strong, our country will be strong. At school, it’s necessary for the students to watch the live broadcast and witness the miracle of China. It helps arouse the pride for our country and sense to contribute to the progress of China. Teachers can try the best to briefly introduce the history and the theory.

      President Xi said We Chinese don’t invade other countries but never allow any other country to bully or enslave us. Although China is growing rapidly, we should not forget the difficult history, which tells us if we fall behind, we may be invaded again. As a teacher, I will remind the students of the past and encourage them to expand the horizon. That is the way to motivate them to breakthrough themselves, then devote to the breakthrough of China in the future. We will definitely hear “Wow! It’s so beautiful here!” again and again.
