     On June 17, China launched its seventh manned spaceflight, sending three astronauts to the core module of its permanent space station, which was so inspiring that it created the strongest feeling of national pride among all Chinese. With the task, astronaut Liu Boming left the cabin for the first time on July 4, saying ‘Wow! It's so beautiful here!’, which won a lot of exclamation all around the world. At the same time, many international media organizations introduced Chinese astronauts' tasks there and they were astonished at China’s progress on space project in recent years.

     It is widely known that China has made great progress on space technology in the 21st century. In 2003, China sent up the manned spacecraft Shenzhou-V. And just five years later, a Chinese man Zhai Zhigang did the country’s first spacewalk in 2008. And with years’ efforts and contributions of specialists on space technology, China now achieves a major milestone of sending three astronauts to the core module of its permanent space station. Moreover, two of the astronauts left Tiangong, the core module of the space station, for a seven-hour spacewalk to test out new-generation spacesuits, install equipment, elevate a panoramic camera, and test Tiangong's robotic arm.

     It is a huge progress and achievement Chinese and the world could not image 100 years ago. After the Opium War of 1840, China was gradually reduced to a semi-colonial, semi-feudal society and suffered greater ravages than ever before. The country endured intense humiliation; the people were subjected to great pain, and the Chinese civilization was plunged into darkness. A hundred years ago, in order to save the nation from peril, the pioneers of Communism in China established the Communist Party of China and from then the Party united and led the Chinese people to fight for New China and a greater future.

     At the very beginning of New China, China used to be poor and backward both in economy and science technology. However, it took not a long time for China to catch up with the western countries. Over the past 100 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party, China has witnessed profound changes and achieved a miracle of development. China's economic strength has greatly increased, and it has now become the world's second largest economy and entered a new era of development. Meanwhile, China has made remarkable progress in technology. Significant achievements such as nuclear bombs, manmade satellites, manned spaceflight, have provided strong support for social and economic development.

     With the concerted efforts of the Chinese Communists, the Chinese people, and the Chinese nation, China has achieved great success in the new-democratic revolution, socialist revolution and construction, reform, opening up, and socialist modernization. And we Chinese all believe China will eventually achieve the goal of building a great modern socialist country in all respects and fulfill the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
