【永嘉县】Chinese Space Exploration Intends to Serve Humanity

On July 4, the news of ‘China space station astronauts leaving the cabin for the first time’ attracted the attention of international media. The international society was astonished by the smooth running of Chinese space station, as Chinese, we took immense pride in our achievements.

Under the circumstance of technology blockage of America, the development of Chinese space station had gone through a series of hardship. In the past international space station project, lots of countries refused to invite China. They believed that the Chinese Space Agency were unable to make any contribution to the project as it had been founded for only 5 years by then. In 2001, the U.S Congress passed the Wolf Act stipulating that sharing the advanced technology with Chinese government were forbidden for NASA and American companies. It disappointed all the hopes of China of participating in the international space station project. After that, China had a rough time to independently develop its own space technology.

This year, China completed the construction of space station by itself and developed Kirin system. All of the related technical researches were independently accomplished by China. However, China claimed that it would not reject any country to participate in the space station project. As long as any country’s project could make contribution to mankind, all of them would be given a chance to enter Chinese space station.

Chinese space station opening up to the world reveals its national responsibility as a great power. It also illustrates that China is willing to share its experience and technology in aerospace with open-mindedness and inclusiveness. As one of the largest countries in the world, China always try its best to benefits the mankind and advance the development of the world. Despite that China was isolated by some western countries in the study of aerospace, it still chooses to share its technology with the world and bury the past. It shows that Chinese government is making an effort in moving the world towards a future of win-win cooperation.

China and the world are a community with a shared future for mankind. We humans need to support each other when facing the world. Therefore, we believe that technology should serve people around the world, instead of people in the certain country. Nowadays, we live in a globalized world with an unprecedented degree of interdependences among countries and the convergence of their interests. Every country should think in terms of the big picture. We need to realize that all the efforts we make is aimed at sustainable development of mankind. We can only achieve mutual benefits and win-win cooperation of all nations with the awareness of open-mindedness and inclusiveness. Thus, we would persist in developing technology with the awareness and share opportunities as well as interests, thereby achieving sustainable development of human society.

The smooth running of space station also reveals China’s excellent controllability in core and key technologies. Besides, China broke the technology blockage and significantly increased its technological strength. There's a reasonable prospect that, as long as we solidly follow our own path, China and the world would obtain mutual benefits and eventually have a desired future.
