On August 12, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and president of China, sent a congratulatory letter to the International Civil Society Solidarity Conference on the Global Development Initiative.Xi noted that development is the eternal theme of human society, which people of all countries are earnestly expecting to help realize their yearning for a better life.At present, with global economic development being affected by multiple factors, the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has been hindered.
